HITAS STUDENTS ARE NOW PERFECTLY BILINGUAL THANKS TO THE PARTNERSHIP SIGNED IN OCTOBER 2022 WITH THE REGIONAL LINGUISTIC CENTER OF DOUALA

HITAS in its vision and search for excellence has set itself the ambition since its creation, to train young people effectively ready for employment and even self-employment. Aware of the major challenges facing young people around the world due to the phenomenon of globalization, HITAS is committed to training students who are perfectly bilingual to enable them to integrate into professional life, both at the national and international level without language difficulties.

Thus, at the beginning of the academic year in October 2022, a partnership was signed with the Regional Language Centre of Douala in order to train students to be perfectly bilingual. Thus, after four months, they have taken a total of 384 hours of intensive French language courses for English speakers and English for French speakers.

The perfect mastery of languages is a prerequisite for tackling the pedagogical challenges that the HITAS students will face, and the promoter of the institute, now a judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in Hamburg, understood this so well.

After four months of intensive language training, HITAS students are now perfectly bilingual, and follow courses in English without any difficulty, especially those taught by teachers from our partner universities abroad. With these languages, and possibly a third, German or Italian, our students will be well equipped for smooth international mobility, and will be able to seize almost any opportunity that comes their way. Thanks to these languages, our students are now able to participate in academic exchange programmes with our partner universities abroad.

In the presence of the Director of the Douala Regional Languistic Center, Mrs. Helen BOKENG, and the President of HITAS, His Excellency Professor Maurice Kamga, certificates of completion of language training were distributed to the students, along with laptops to encourage their efforts. These computers will allow students to acclimatize to the computer tool, in order to better ensure their studies and conduct their various research in a highly competitive and dynamic world. Having a computer with an internet connection will allow them to develop their curiosity, open up to the world, and especially seize opportunities of various kinds.

The Hanseatic Institute of Technology and applied sciences welcomes Cameroonians and foreigners for a comprehensive training in technology, computer science, renewable energy, management, international studies and medical sciences. Registrations for the academic year 2023/2024 are already open and the academic year will start in October 2023.
